Minnesota Youth Foundation is a non profit corporation that was organized in May of 2011 with the goal of making athletic activities more accessible to area youth.
Minnesota Youth Foundation’s goal is to raise funds through special events and use the proceeds to benefit area non-profit organizations that pertain to youth athletic based activities in order to promote and develop healthy habits and lifestyles.
The first such event is the Granite City Pond Hockey Championships which was held in St. Cloud MN. at the Lake George area facility and grounds on January 20th-22nd, 2012 and now has become an annual event. The intent will be to grow this event into a winter festival to include a variety of activities that will be designed to allow for more community involvement.
MN Youth Foundation will accomplish this by soliciting funds through sponsorships, contributions and donations from local, statewide and national companies. These funds will be used to acquire assets such as pond hockey rink boards, goals, shovels, ice resurfacing equipment, ect. along with various advertising media. The proceeds will then be used to enhance area youth programs.
